The Packer boys swimming and diving team took seventh place in the Big Nine meet at Ellis Middle School Saturday.

Century took first with 351.5 points and Faribault was second with 218 points.

Austin had 117.5 points.

The Packers were led by 200-yard freestyle relay team of Chase Hanko, Jeremy Srock, Eric Lenway, and Jaceb Crews, who took fourth place.

Hanko came up with seventh place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly and was part of the 200-yard medley relay team that took seventh. Other members of that team were Srock, Crews and Jordan Stasi.

Michael Thorsheim took ninth and Phil Donovan took 10th in the 200-yard IM, Crews tied for 10th in the 50-yard freestyle.

Phil Donovan also took 10th in the 500-yard freestyle and was part of the 400-yard freestyle relay team — along with Crews, Phil Donovan and Hanko — that took seventh.

The Section 1A boys swimming and diving tournament will be in Inver Grove Heights Feb. 21 and Feb. 23.
