Drexel divers Ian Jevnick and Kate Hynes swept the Colonial Athletic Association weekly awards as Jevnick was named Men's Diver of the Week while Hynes was tabbed the Women's Diver of the Week after dual meets with the University of Connecticut and Rhode Island last weekend. It was the first time this season Jevnick has been honored by the CAA while Hynes has now been selected eight times.

Jevnick, a freshman, won the 3-meter dive against stiff competition from the University of Connecticut as he totaled 321.25 points. He helped the Dragons complete the diving sweep as he took second to teammate Jake Roberson in the 1-meter dive by scoring a 275.00. Jevnick's performance aided Drexel in its victory over Rhode Island.

Kate Hynes had her undefeated dual meet streak tested against the University of Connecticut but the junior responded by breaking the UConn pool record with a 308.80 on the 3-meter board to win by less than 20 points and scored a 297.65 in the 1 meter to win by 25 points. Hynes, the reigning Colonial Athletic Association Diver of the Week, has not lost in a dual meet this season and has broken five different pool records across the Northeast.

Jevnick, Hynes and the rest of the men's and women's swimming and diving team will host La Salle on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 2 p.m.
