With the pressure of earning a bid to next week's NCAA championships no longer a problem, Lauren LeRoy still came through for the University of Tennessee divers.

LeRoy qualified for the NCAA meet Friday with a second-place finish in the one-meter event (563.45) at the Zone B Championships in Auburn, Ala.

On Saturday, she came through with another second-place finish in the three-meter board event.

"Today was an ideal time for preparing for next week's NCAA Championships," UT diving coach Dave Parrington said. "Lauren did very well in this competitive atmosphere."

LeRoy entered the three-meter finals with 307.10 points and added another 318.75 on Saturday to finish with a 625.85 total. Georgia's Hannah Moore won the event with a score of 647.95.

UT senior Vicky Linnell finished 36th (213.70), and junior Staley McCartney 42nd (208.10).

The NCAA Championship meet is set for Thursday-Saturday in Columbus, Ohio.

Men's Diving: The Vols are still trying to earn their NCAA bid. Michael Muscari and Ryan Rincon advanced to the finals of the Zone B championships, but they have some ground to make up on the last day of competition today.

Muscari is in 15th place after collecting 300.75 points in the one-meter event Saturday. He has a total of 574.70 points. Rincon is in 17th place at 568.45. Chris Davis fell short of advancing in the finals.

Baseball: The Vols (10-4, 1-0 SEC) will play a doubleheader against LSU beginning at noon today at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Saturday's scheduled game was postponed because of rain and poor field conditions.

Both games today will be seven-inning contests as required by SEC rules.

Tennessee got the three-game series off to a strong start Friday with a 6-5 victory against the Tigers (11-4, 0-1).

The Vols take a six-game winning streak into today with redshirt freshman Bryan Morgado and sophomore Nick Hernandez expected to pitch.

Men's Golf: The Vols slipped to fourth place at 5-under-par 571 after firing a 1-over 289 at the Schenkel E-Z-Go Invitational in Statesboro, Ga. No. 8-ranked UT trails first-place Alabama by six, South Carolina by four, and Florida by two going into today's final round.

David Holmes led the Vols with a second round 1-under 71 and remains tied for 12th place on the individual leaderboard at 142. Robin Wingardh (74) is at 143, Philip Pettitt (72) at 144, Charlie Ford (72) at 146, and Chris Paisley (78) at 148.

Men's Tennis: After a slow start, the No. 13-ranked Vols rallied for a 4-3 victory against No. 31 Virginia Tech at Goodfriend Indoor Tennis Center.

UT (13-1) opened the match by losing the doubles point for the first time this season. Kaden Hensel and J.P. Smith won their No. 1 doubles match, but the Vols' No. 2 and No. 3 teams went down to the Hokies (9-2).

The Vols answered with singles victories by Hensel, Boris Conkic, Matteo Fago and Jeremy Tweedt.

Smith, ranked No. 16 in singles, was upset by Virginia Tech's Albert Larregola, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 in the No. 1 singles match.
