Senior diver Mary Yarrison has been given the honor of representing the United States in the XIV FINA Diving Grand Prix, scheduled for April 10-13 in Moscow, Russia. Chosen by USA Diving, the national governing body of diving in the United States as recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee, Yarrison will be competing against the best divers from all over the world.

Yarrison captured second place in the 1-meter event at the 2008 NCAA Championships, only to finish in ninth place in the 3-meter event due to a mishap earlier in the day. Although she finished with 368.45 points, 2.6 more than eventual 3-meter champion, Ohio State junior Chelsea Davis, Yarrison was forced into the consolation bracket after failing to land a dive in the third round of the preliminaries.

The Championships marked the end of her collegiate eligibility at Texas, finishing as a two-time All-American and two-time honorable mention All-American.

Yarrison won first place at the 2007 USA Diving Spring National Championships, and won the bronze medal for the one-meter event at the 2007 World University Games in Bangkok, Thailand. As a freshman at Arizona in 2004, Yarrison also earned honorable mention All-American honors in the platform and 3-meter events.
