Despite three event wins from Renee Punyko (So., Duluth, Minn.) and two from Dana Ketcher (Sr., Des Moines, Iowa), the Hamline University women's swimming and diving team fell to host UW-River Falls, 112.5-101.5, in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon.

Punyko earned the Piper women's first event win of the afternoon in the pool, taking the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:49.01. She later won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:24.36 and the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:22.81.

Ketcher's first event win came in the 50-yard freestyle, taking the victory with a nearly half-minute advantage, finishing in 25.38. Later in the afternoon she won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:42.63.

Tami Klenke (Sr., Red Wing, Minn.) also contributed to the Piper points totals with 18 points coming from her in the one-meter dive.

The Pipers' 200-yard freestyle relay team of Kelsey Easter (Sr., Minneapolis, Minn.), Robyn Wernberg (Fy., Brainard, Minn.), Katie Adams (Fy., Duluth, Minn.) and Erinn Moriarty (So., Cottage Grove, Minn.) won the last event of the day by over eight seconds in a time of 1:49.17.
