Tom Daley, 13, collected two medals at the Grand Prix meet in Madrid. The Plymouth schoolboy teamed up with Blake Aldridge to win silver in the Platform syncro.

The Britons were third going into the final round where they executed their inward 3½ tuck to gain a high score and overtake Germans Norman Becker and Johanes Donay.

Daley beat team-mate Peter Waterfield, the former Commonwealth champion, for bronze in the individual platform event behind two strong Chinese.

Daley dived consistently while Waterfield dropped his back 2½ somersaults with 2½ twists.

Fellow Britons Hayley Sage and Tandi Gerrard came fourth in the women's three-metre springboard synchro competition after lying in a medal position at the end of two rounds.
